"Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God" (Romans 3:19).

The whole world is guilty before God… “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” And we are told that “the wages of sin is death”. Thus, all of us will eventually die…no exceptions. But we are assured that the law of sin and death are temporary for…

“The law has dominion over a man as long as he lives…But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the SPIRIT and not in the oldness of the letter." (Romans 7:1, 6)

The law no longer determines mankind’s destiny after death. When we die we will have “died to what we were held by”…our present “flesh” which misses the mark (sins).

“…but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.” (Romans 7:14)

HOWEVER, we have been promised deliverance (salvation) from our earthly body to a "spiritual body" of immortality at our resurrection. God has promised to send Jesus to resurrect the dead, at which time we will be changed from earthly to heavenly, from “natural” to “spiritual”.

“How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”…The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body…The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.” (1 Corinthians 15)
