“And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life…And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” (1 John 2:25; 5:11)

The problem I see with most Christians is the tendency to believe traditional teaching of the denominational church they are attending rather than the simple statements of the Scripture found in the Bible. For instance the Bible reads as follows:

“...we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. Prescribe and teach these things.” (1 Timothy 4:9-11)

This clear statement should resolve all doubt about our instruction to teach the eventual salvation of ALL. However, most Christians deny the above clear statement and instead change it to say something like this:

God is “offering” to save all men but only saves those who “accept” Christ by their own “free will” (and add various other works that must be done depending on which church they attend).
They teach this in spite of the fact that not one verse in Scripture can be produced which says God is making an “offer” to save conditioned upon “acceptance” of the offer. Scripture DOES say that eternal life is a “free gift” from God to sinners and that by His “Love” and “Grace” they have been “reconciled” to God by the death of His Son and saved by “faith”, and that their faith is also a “gift” from God, not of works.

“God demonstrates His own LOVE toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… while we were enemies we were RECONCILED to God through the death of His Son…For the wages of sin is death, but the FREE GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord....For by GRACE you have been SAVED through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God, not as a result of works...” (Romans 5:8-10; 6:26; Ephesians 2:8-9)
