Satan is the "Adversary" of truth.  God created him to fill that role, and he is really good at his job, having earned a Masters Degree in Deception. Jesus and Paul both warned people about his deception... " You are of your father, the Adversary, and the desires of your father you are wanting to do. He was a man-killer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, for truth is not in him. Whenever he may be speaking a lie, he is speaking of his own, for he is a liar, and the father of it. Yet I -- seeing that I am speaking the truth, you are not believing Me... " ..." Satan himself is being transfigured into a messenger of light. As promised yesterday, I want to tell you what I consider to be the most egregious of the “secretly introduced destructive heresies” which was introduced and remains in Church doctrine. I will use two different translations of Matthew 25:46 to help reveal this “heresy”... “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:45-46 NASB) “And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during” (Matthew 25:46 YLT) So which is it - “eternal” punishment and life as the NASB has it, or “age-during” punishment and life as the YLT has it? Once again I went to the concordance and the oldest original Greek manuscripts. I found that the Greek word translated “eternal” and “age-during” is “aionion” with the Strong’s Concordance number 166.
