“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:43-44)
“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you” (Colossians 3:16)
Well, well, well....how does your religious doctrine measure up to these words of Jesus and Paul?
What about God, how is His attitude toward His enemies?
“God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we (sinners) have now received reconciliation.” (Romans 5:8-11)
Unfortunately, for the time being, it is a rare thing when humanity is found to follow His example.
