New Years Resolution

"I will approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that I may receive mercy and find grace to help me at the proper time." (Hebrews 4:16)

And that is my New Years Resolution this year, and for each year of the remainder of my life.

Election Time in the USA

  I just turned 74 and have lived all my life in the US. In thinking about the upcoming election the following verse came into my mind... "The LORD is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you." (2 Chronicles 15:2) Neither candidate is the LORD, that is for certain, and so I do not "seek after" either one of them. When voting I prayerfully consider the one who it seems to me would not "forsake" my LORD during times of crisis in this world in which we live. God's Plan - Unity Of All Things

"Out of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things" (Romans 11:36) "...in accordance with the riches of God’s GRACE he made known to us the mystery of his will... to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ…according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will." (Ephesians 1:7-11). The Bible says that everything is out of God and is proceeding just as He wills and "according to the plan" . Jesus is the Son of God and "…the firstborn of all creation" (Colossians 1:15). Through His Son, the living Word, God made everything. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. Rejecting god

Some people get condemned and shamed for rejecting the gods of religious institutions. If you are one of them, do not worry about that at all, for you have not rejected the real GOD, but the made up god of religious institutions. And that is a good thing, in my opinion. “Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye go round the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and whenever it may happen -- ye make him a son of gehenna twofold more than yourselves.” (Matthew 23:15) I think it is impossible to reject the real God.  He does not "separate" Himself from us…only the gods of religion do that. “I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor messengers, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things about to be, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God...” (Romans 8:38-39)
