Who Is Jesus?
"The divine alchemy which transformed the Victim of human hate into the Sacrifice for their sins is almost too wonderful for human apprehension." A. E. Knock - All in All
"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us...He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven." (John 1:14; Colossians 1:13-20)
Who is Jesus?
The "Son" of God.
The "image" of the invisible God
The "firstborn" of all creation
The "creator" of all things
The "head" of the church
The "firstborn" from the dead
The "first" in everything
The "reconciler" of all things
The "peacemaker" between God and all things
And did mankind exalt him when he "became flesh and dwelt among us"?
No, we shed his blood by murdering him on the cross.
And what of mankind's vile act? - what do they get for their horrible crime against their creator? Surely the hell of the religions of mankind.
But no, these wicked sinners are SAVED, redeemed by the very "blood" of their ungodly sacrifice. By divine alchemy, this murderous sacrifice became the only Sacrifice that could atone for that horrible sin, and all other sins.
"He is the atoning Sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world....You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." (1 John 2:2; Genesis 50:20)
Woe is me, I am undone. I sit here figuratively in sackcloth and ashes. Such Divine Love is truly too wonderful for human apprehension!
