The Unpardonable Sin - What is it?
"…Whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." (Matthew 12:32) This verse scares the crap out of some folks. They are not sure what it means but have been told by Christianity that it is unpardonable, and anyone who commits it can’t be saved and will be tortured in hell forever. But what does the above verse really mean? Well it helps to read all the Scripture to know, but here in a nutshell is what I found: 1. The "Holy Spirit" is the "spirit of truth" (John 16:3) 2. “No one can say, 'Jesus is Lord', except by the Holy Spirit “ (1 Corinthians 12:3) 3. "...every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..." (Philippians 2:10-11) 4. Christ Jesus is "the Savior of the world” (John 4:42). 5.
